2002-05 Most common issues

I just replaced the tires to make it safe for trips. What else should I monitor or change? What about Serpentine belt?

I have 46k on my 05 Bird ...just put 8 coils and plugs in it even though it was running fine and had the tray fluid changed.
I figured by this time it was time to tune it up....Runs great......

Yes, I need to check the spare for pressure as I may need it sometime. I have not heard that the timing chain was an issue for wear or anything else but I will check on that as well. My car runs great and I have spare coils when needed. Thanks all.

If the spare tire is over 10 years old, it's not safe and needs to be replaced or just removed altogether. It's just adding weight to the car for no purpose- https://forums.fordthunderbirdforum.com/threads/2002-compact-spare.4768/
