The diagrams look fine.

Note you will need a trim tool to pry the connector for the rear window defroster wire off the bulkhead. Once you do that, you can disconnect the rear window defroster at the connector junction (NOT THE WINDOW ITSELF) And then remove/pull back the fabric covering the REM and other modules in the area.

For the splice itself, you can make a military splice or use a positap device.

suggest a folded up towel to protect your shins from the seat rails.

I had this happen when a shop installed it! I noted the issue and disconnected all of it. Another reason I’m trying to be VERY specific about the process! My battery was dead in two days.

As to the resistor, I’m holding off but as usual, I’m a visual guy!
