If they do total it, or even if you dont like the way it was repaired, they aren't too hard to find used. That way you can move up to a later year with more horsepower and features.

I briefly owned the beautiful ivory '02 this weekend.
I picked it up 200 miles away, drove to secretary of state's office to get a plate, then home to wash her up. I had a new condition 2002 Thunderbird with only 6500 miles sitting in my driveway. Then it happened!
My wife came home.... Now she owns a new condition 2002 Thunderbird with only 6700 miles.
I do still have my pickup truck though.

You also have red on the door panels, right? Yours is called the "full red interior" option. The SST stands for Select Shift Transmission - allowing you to manually selcet gears. I hadn't heard of it being called "his & hers" before.
