IMHO you got away with a very reasonable charge . From what I have read on other sites the module cost more & labor was a lot higher.
 
Got mine at Bob Alan Ford Kansas city. They do have a high core charge, but instantly refunded upon receiving core. These Modules are very hard to find these days. but what is one to do. I almost have 02 back to 100percent. What a fun car to play and tinker with.
